I was so tired of over thinking the effects of these inventions that I decided to take another nap this time hoping I would travel to somewhere outside Harvard University.
- Interchange Parts- Before parts were hand-made and each was different and took a long time make. Interchangeable parts enabled parts to be made in bulk, because each part can fit in any piece of equipment. That reduces the cost of the item and helps to make the item faster.
- Steel Plow- The Steel Plow was used for farming to break up tough soil without soil getting stuck to it.
- Mechanical Reaper-The Mechanical Reaper made it possible for a single person to harvest acres of grain instead of using slaves or workers.
- Cotton Gin- A cotton gin is a machine that separates the seeds from the cotton fiber. The product greatly benefited the South, where there were many cotton plantations. It Increased the amount of slaves because now it made cotton production even more profitable.
- Steamboat-Made it easier to transport products and materials across the country.
